Suzuki GB’s subsidised insurance scheme for all machines up to cc has proved to be so popular that the Grand Prix World Championship winning manufacturer has decided to extend the promotion until 30 September 2001.
June 20 – registration figures show Suzuki GB as the top-selling Japanese manufacturer in the UK moped market. And, with 50cc scooter premiums set to stay as low as £50 per annum for third party, fire & theft cover for up to four name riders, as well as a fully-comprehensive option, Suzuki GB is quietly
confident that this successful sales trend will continue.
No fewer than 15 machines are included in the scheme, spanning the Suzuki 50cc – 125cc range from cost effective and practical, twist-and-go scooters through to gleaming, big-in-style 125cc cruisers.
Also included in the low-cost insurance promotion is the latest version of Suzuki’s AY50WR ‘race-replica’ scooter, which comes complete with a thorough makeover for 2001. A new front cowling incorporating a multi-reflector headlamp and wider, aggressive radiator grille gives the machine a sportier look and new, six-spoke wheels enhance the racer image. Offered with a choice of colour schemes – Movistar Kenny Roberts replica and traditional Suzuki GSX-R blue/white, the new AY50WR Katana is equipped with essential commuter practicalities such as electric starting, increased space under the seat and security loops for a ‘U’ lock on both sides of the machine.
Suzuki claims that, with this comprehensive ‘lightweight’ range, new customers are not only spoilt for choice when it comes to choice of models but they can also take advantage of Suzuki’s free peace-of-mind benefits – twelve months’ AA roadside recovery assistance and Alpha.Dot security marking.
The subsidised Suzuki insurance scheme is effective from the 1 July through to 30 September 2001 and Suzuki dealers have full details of the promotion.
