While waiting for the next Moto2 World Championship round in Jerez, the JiR Team and rider Eric Granado will be engaged this weekend in the second round of the CEV Championship, where the young Brazilian is sharpening his riding skills getting ready for his World debut in Silverstone. The weeks that followed his first round on April 1st in Jerez has been useful to the young rider to review his first experience, learning from the good things
that came out from the race analysis. The MotoBI showed to be fully competitive also in the awful weather that afflicted the Andalusian track, while the rider took some time to get a first touch of the incoming circuit of Navarra though videos and with the support of his whole Team. The expectations from this race are to increase rider’s confidence with the machine, while improving his riding style trying to be more and more competitive during the approach to his World Championship debut.
“My first race, actually, was not what we expected, but for some issues it has been positive: I think we can always learn something and in the three days I realized that there are so many aspects of this machine that can affect the performance and must be approached with attention, so I really learned a lot. I feel very confident with the Team, they are very competitive as well as the MotoBI is, I also think that if there is one thing on
which we still have room for improvements, well that thing is me! I’m really excited for this second round of the CEV, during the time that I spent in Brazil I looked at many on-board videos of the circuit of Navarre and I studied it many times.
I have never been on this track, and really is a new one for me, but I don’t consider this as a problem, I hope I will be able to get as quickly as possible the reference points of the track and enjoy the weekend! My aim, of course, is to win, but I’m realistic and I know that I still need to learn a lot and I’m sure that working hard with the team we’ll be quick to get up with the leaders in the races.”
