A quest to find Britain’s best bikes is set to reach its thrilling conclusion this Thursday (November 22nd) when the 12 winners of Britain’s Got Biking Talent are unveiled at the International Motorbike & Scooter Show and British bikers ultimate bike is dramatically revealed.

After expert judges whittled down over 1,500 entries to a shortlist of just 50, nearly 45,000 votes were cast by the biking public in the contest, organised by the UK’s biggest [intlink id=”54″ type=”page”]Motorbike insurance[/intlink] specialist, Carole Nash, and leading motorcycling magazine Motorbike News (MCN). The 12 winning bikes will all be displayed at the NEC show and immortalised in the Carole Nash 2008 calendar, which is set to be distributed to some 120,000 admiring bikers across the UK and Ireland.

Organisers are keeping details of the winners close to their chests but promise the line-up will excite bikers from all walks of life. Competition judge and Carole Nash marketing director Warren Dickson says: Because it was the biking public who decided the final outcome the winning bikes represent the very best of the British biking scene. The quality never mind the quantity of entries really took us aback. We expected great machines but ended up with genuinely awesome machines. It really is a stunning line-up.

Securing a place in the Carole Nash calendar and a stage at the International Motorbike Show is a massive achievement. Just to reach the shortlist bikes had to be selected by some of the best known figures in the motorcycling world. There were behind the scenes tussles as judge, including The Sun’s Biker columnist Jane Omorogbe, British Superbike star Chris Walker and MCN editor Mark Potter battled for their own favourites. Also on the panel were bike designers John Keogh and Glynn Kerr and the man behind the Aprilia Mille, Martin Longmore.

The Carole Nash calendar is a must have for committed British bikers and traditionally features the world’s finest and most exotic Motorbikes. This will be the first time the Motorbike insurance giant has opened up its pages to the biking public. It will be distributed free to visitors at the International Motorbike Show and also be available by post for a bargain £3.99 including postage and packing, via the Carole Nash website.

As well as appearing in the calendar winners will also get VIP passes to show where they will also each be presented a professionally shot picture of themselves and their bike. The first prize winner will also enjoy a trip of a lifetime to a Moto GP event anywhere in the world, with flights and accommodation included. The second prize offers a top of the range helmet from leading brand Arai and third prize a specialist Motorbike confidence training course run by MCN.
