YAMAHA SCOOTS TO ITS 50TH BIRTHDAY

Yamaha Neos - 50cc fun for 50 years
As the Yamaha Motor Company celebrates its 50th Birthday, we examine two scooters that everyone would welcome gift wrapped or not.

If someone offered you a present that would give you extra leisure time, a feeling of fun and excitement and would save you money too, would you be happy? Well that is what you get if you use a Yamaha 125cc scooter for your commuting and leisure riding.

Extra leisure time – you can set off to work later than if you use a car or public transport as you ride past the queues of traffic on your way to work:
Fun and excitement - because every ride gives you something new and a rush of exhilaration on the journey to work or play:
Saving money – a tank of petrol will cost you around £5 and with road tax at £15 and FREE Third Party Fire and Theft Insurance* included for the first 12 months, compare the weekly and monthly costs and be surprised at how cost effective Yamaha motoring can be. Don’t forget there is free parking in most areas too.

Yamaha 125cc scooters cover every need, from the economy with panache of the Cygnus X, to full-on luxury with the Majesty 125. Both come with standard Yamaha reliability, practicality, high-build quality and ease of riding.

Yamaha CygnusX - Yamaha Scoots to its 50th Birthday
The Cygnus X is light-weight and manoeuvrable and loves to eat up the miles which are part of a busy urban lifestyle. It has stylish bodywork, with a powerful 60/55W headlight and easy-to-read car-style instrument panel. The Yamaha four-valve, 4-stroke engine is highly efficient and with its catalytic converter the Cygnus X offers low noise and ultra-low emissions.

The underseat helmet bay can be complimented by fitting a 30 litre topcase to hold work or leisure accessories. Weather protection can be increased by fitting a tall windshield. Available in Citrine (pale blue) or Graphic Blue, or try the new for 2005 Gun Metallic, priced at £1,999 on the road, accessories are extra.

The Yamaha Majesty 125 oozes class and sophistication. With dual headlights, dual seat, passenger grab rail and underseat storage for two helmets, the Majesty 125 offers comfort and luxury rolled into one. The liquid-cooled 125cc engine is powerful and responsive and with its large capacity fuel tank (10.5 litres), the Majesty offers long distance commuting and touring.

Disc brakes front and rear ensure maximum stopping power and the rear suspension is adjustable according to load. Instrumentation is comprehensive and stylishly displayed, with a pre-wired anti theft alarm fitted as standard. Carrying capacity is increased with the addition of a topcase, available in two sizes 30 litre or 40 litre. The Majesty colours are Crystal Jade or new for 2005 Silver Tech or Midnight Black. Priced at £2,899 on the road, don’t forget this includes FREE Third Party Fire and Theft Insurance* for the first 12 months. Highly competitive upgrades are also available should you prefer Fully Comprehensive insurance, but the offer ends 30th June 2005, so make up your mind before then.

Both scooters are made even more desirable with the benefits of the unique Yamaha customer care package:
All Yamaha 125cc scooters have two years manufacturers unlimited mileage warranty;
12-months RAC Breakdown Cover, roadside and at home, including lost keys, puncture or no petrol!
Datatag anti-theft security marking system, fully fitted. Specially designed holographic decals to warn off thieves, hidden electronic transponders containing a unique code and code numbers engraved onto the scooter for permanent marking of body panels.
