The critically acclaimed, advanced supersports motorcycle is providing Suzuki with a surge in registrations as post-launch public interest in the new machine has rapidly converted into sales.
The new 2005 incarnation of the GSX-R1000 sees a massive 95% of its 3500 component parts changed from the 2004 model. Weighing in at an astonishingly light 166kg, the new machine boasts an unrivalled power-to-weight ratio and its compact chassis gives proportions similar to those of many 600cc machines.
With rave reviews from the world's motorcycle press continuing to be published, the production specification machine has already started to win media accolades. The June issue of BIKE magazine hails the GSX-R1000 as its Bike of the Year with the new Suzuki winning three individual categories to beat every other new bike on sale.

Race-bred, designed and built with Suzuki's renowned passion for performance, the new supersport flagship model is simply decimating the opposition in the World Superbike Championship and thrilling the crowds in the process. In the hands ofAlstare Suzuki's Australian rider, Troy Corser, and Japanese favourite, Yukio Kagayama, the GSX-R1000 has turned the championship on its head with a 100% success rate of six race victories from six starts in the first three WSB events of the 2005 season.
The first UK shipment of GSX-R1000 machines is mostly pre-sold, with Suzuki's official dealer network already reporting customers putting down deposits for the next consignment.
Becky Reid, Suzuki GB's Marketing Manager, Motorcycles said: "The excellent reports and test results are sending demand through the roof for both race-ready and road-going machines. We had anticipated this and have ordered plenty of bikes to satisfy the UK market. Customers wanting to buy a GSX-R1000 are advised to contact their official Suzuki dealer."
