Former brickie builds on Kawasaki’s success in Yorkshire
Builder-turned-bike-dealer Trevor Kirsopp is helping Kawasaki lay the foundation stones for a successful new business in Yorkshire having been appointed the brand’s prestigious franchise.
Just five years ago Trevor was working on building sites – now he runs a site in Askern near Doncaster which is home to around 200 of the world’s most powerful bikes.
For Trevor, being awarded the Kawasaki franchise is a dream come true as he has always admired the wide range of models that Kawasaki boasts. His company, Premier Bikes, offers customers in the Doncaster area the full range to choose from.
With a café adjacent to the fully equipped showroom, Premier Bikes offers motorcycle enthusiasts and potential customers a place to meet and share their interest in mean machines. And there is a team of 16 staff on hand at the huge site – should a visitor come along fully prepared to buy their dream machine.
Trevor said: “When we heard that the local dealer was no longer running the Kawasaki franchise we saw an opportunity and took it. We approached Kawasaki and when they visited our premises they were very impressed.
“We really do offer bikers a place to come and meet like-minded people – as well as a commercial venture. There are days when you really can’t move for bikes in our car park.”
Premier Bikes will be offering a full selection of Kawasaki’s models – from bikes for first-timers through to the top-selling Ninja ZX-6R, supernaked Z1000, and awesome Ninja ZX-12R. And there is also a team of highly qualified technicians for after-sales support and repairs.
Kawasaki District Manager Denis Matthewman was impressed with Premier Bikes’ dedication and enthusiasm for the franchise from the beginning. He said: “They have a very impressive site which is very popular with motorbike enthusiasts and we are sure they will be a very successful dealership for Kawasaki for years to come.”
And there’s more good news for customers during August and September with a cashback* promotion being run at each authorised Kawasaki dealership. Anyone buying and registering a Ninja ZX-6R or ZX-6RR model will receive a cheque from Kawasaki Motors UK for £500 – it’s as simple as that.
